Meet the Spin Works Team

Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and received a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University. Tom was a faculty member at Penn State University – Behrend Campus for ten years in the Mechanical Engineering Technology – Thermal Sciences department. He founded Spinworks in 2000 and holds several patents for the company’s core technologies.

Sam graduated from Penn State Behrend with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Sam is currently working to help the industrial steel and aluminum customers apply Spinworks products to their specific application. He also works bridge between the customer and Spinworks research department helping new products get developed and tailored for the customer’s specific needs.

AJ graduated from Penn State Behrend with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. AJ caters to Spinworks’ customers in the commercial heat treat market looking for energy savings and valuable throughput improvements. In addition to sales, he plays a key role in the commercialization of Spinworks newly developed products, turning prototypes into units ready for the field

Tom Reilly has worked for Spin-Works since 2006. He currently holds two Undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Penn State Behrend and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. Tom develops and implements new silicon carbide products and processes. He has currently set up two new manufacturing platforms for the production of more complicated ceramic parts. He also plays a key role in generating ceramic prototypes for concept testing.

Yuki Graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She plays a key role in managing Spinworks accounting and financial needs. In addition to the financial side, she plays a key role in assisting Spinworks with customers in Asia, as she speaks both Japanese and Chinese fluently.
